Sophie Lancaster Story
by Catherine Smyth
While walking through a park in Bacup, England, Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, were followed and viciously attacked by a mob of teens. The killers kicked and jumped on their heads, then celebrated with other friends that they had beat up two goths, or in the UK they're referred to as 'moshers'. Sophie was taken off life support on August 24, 2007, thirteen days after the attack. This is a heart-wrenching account written by a journalist who became close friends with the victims' families.
